Dragon Lab Ltd — Website and Online Course Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using the Dragon Lab website and buying or accessing a Dragon Lab online course. They apply to online FEC training and related learning materials. Product purchases, laboratory testing services and in-person training may be subject to separate terms shown when you book or order.

When you place an order for a course, you agree to these terms and to the course details shown on its sales page and at checkout.

2. Using the website

You may use the website and course platform for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You must not try to access accounts, course content or systems without permission, interfere with the website or platform, or upload harmful code or material.

We may restrict or suspend access where we have reasonable grounds to believe an account or the platform is being misused. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.

3. Online courses and access

Our online courses are delivered through the learning platform identified on the relevant course page. Course pages explain what is included, who the course is for, the price, any assessment or support, and whether accreditation or certification is available.

Access is provided after payment. The access period for each course will be stated on its course page or at checkout. Please check this information before ordering. You may use the course during that period for your own learning, subject to these terms.

We may correct errors, update material or make reasonable improvements to a course. If a change would materially reduce what was included when you purchased, we will contact you and explain the options available.

4. In-person training

Some FEC training is delivered in person. Booking details, the venue, dates, fees and any cancellation arrangements will be provided with the relevant workshop or booking. These terms apply to website use and online courses; any additional workshop terms will be provided before you book.

5. Your account

You may need to create an account to access a course. Keep your login details secure, provide accurate account information and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Course access is for the named learner only. Do not share your login details or allow another person to use your course account. We may suspend access if we have reasonable grounds to believe an account is being shared or accessed without permission.

6. Course materials and intellectual property

Course materials may include videos, lessons, text, photographs, microscope images, diagrams, quizzes, assessments, slides, worksheets and downloadable guides. These materials are owned by Dragon Lab or the relevant rights holder and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

We give you permission to access and use the materials for your personal learning while your course access is active. Unless we give written permission, you must not copy, record, adapt, publish, distribute, sell, share or use the materials to create or deliver another course. This includes sharing files in groups or forums, uploading them to public sites, or providing them to workplaces or other learners. Do not upload course materials to AI systems or datasets.

These restrictions apply to the course materials themselves. They do not prevent you from using the knowledge and practical skills you gain from your learning.

7. Educational information

Our courses are for education and training. They do not provide a veterinary diagnosis, do not replace advice from a veterinary surgeon, and are not a substitute for an assessment of an individual animal.

FEC results have limitations and must be interpreted in context. Decisions about testing, parasite control, medicines and animal health should take account of the animal and its circumstances, and be made with an appropriately qualified professional where needed. Always follow relevant product instructions and professional guidance.

We take care in preparing course materials, but information may change. A course is not a guarantee of a particular result and may not cover every situation or animal.

8. Accreditation and certificates

Accreditation, formal assessment, continuing professional development recognition or certification is included only where the relevant course page or booking information says so. Completing a course does not by itself mean that a learner has received an accredited qualification. Any additional requirements will be explained with the course details.

9. Prices, payment and orders

The price and available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment is processed by the provider identified during checkout. Your order is accepted when we confirm it and provide access or booking confirmation.

If we cannot provide a course, we will contact you and refund any amount paid for that course. We may cancel or refuse an order where payment has not cleared, fraud is reasonably suspected, or there has been serious misuse of the website or course platform.

10. Cancellations and refunds

If you buy as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days. The rules depend on whether the purchase is for digital course content, a service such as live teaching, or both. We will provide the cancellation information that applies to your order.

If you ask us to make digital course content available during the 14-day cancellation period, we will ask you to give clear consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel the digital content once access begins. We will record that choice with your order.

This does not affect your legal rights if digital content is faulty, does not work as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of consumer law. If you have an access problem, email [email protected] or call 07813 664608.

Any cancellation arrangements for in-person workshops or live services will be given with the relevant booking details. Nothing in those arrangements removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Website and platform availability

We aim to keep the website and courses available, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control. If an interruption prevents you from using a course for a significant part of your access period, contact us so we can look into it.

12. Third-party services and links

Our courses may use third-party platforms or link to external websites and resources. Those services are operated by other organisations and may have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for their content or availability, but this does not affect any rights you have against us under these terms or the law.

13. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how Dragon Lab handles personal information and cookies. They are available through the Dragon Lab website.

14. Liability

We are responsible for losses that the law says we cannot exclude. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

If we fail to meet our obligations, we are responsible for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable or for business losses suffered by a customer buying as a consumer. This section does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on our website. The terms in force when you place your order will apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

16. Your legal rights

These terms do not affect any rights you have under consumer law or any other rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

17. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also be entitled to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
